Development progress -- 31/10/21


First things first--hi, I'm Eiseldel. This will be the first game I release onto Itch. No clue when I'll have it done. Main mechanics are still in-progress. I've been using Godot for the engine since it's relatively straightforward to use and program in. I'm much more well-versed in code than art, so expect to see programmer art when the assets I'm using don't have the sprite I need.

I've been working on this game off-and-on for a while now. The primary loop is going to be shooting, and looking for upgrades. Upgrades will be scattered around the level in different rooms, either on the floor or in a box. The upgrades you can acquire apply to the gun's magazine, its barrel, and whatever else I can think of. Magazine upgrades will allow you to hold more shots. Barrel upgrades give you different firing effects.

A shop at the start of each level will allow you to purchase more ammo as well as consumables.

But first things first--making the primary loop. More details in the next devlog.
